“To bear witness” is to listen, observe, and validate painful and/or traumatic experiences of others.  It is compassionately sitting with another's suffering.  My goal is to bear witness to you, and help you focus on yourself and your needs.  I am a licensed clinical social worker and certified acudetox specialist. Therapy was (and continues to be) a huge catalyst for change in my own life. After growth and recovery, I realized I wanted to work with others seeking support, hope, and change. Over the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of being a harm reduction service provider, a case manager, program developer, team leader, individual and group therapist, clinical supervisor, trainer, and professor. I strongly believe that therapy is a collaborative, empowering process. I use a variety of modalities including motivational interviewing, harm reduction psychotherapy, mindfulness, and acudetox. I feel so lucky and honored to do this work, and I love seeing clients realize their own capabilities and self worth. I also love animals, reading, arts and crafts, punk rock, and yoga.
